  1. It's pitch. (or sap)

Pitch is similar to what blood is in animals.

Pitch is kind of thick and sticky inside the tree, and hardens in the air, like a scab over a wound.

  2. Archers! lol

  3. The sugar in the peaches mine do the same thing

  4. Uuh-oh my mom and dad had this same stuff and the place they called said it was something that would kill it and it did.

Maybe you can catch it in time to do something about it. Call a Nursery near you and tell them about it and ask what to do. Good luck!

  5. That would be sap, your trees "blood".

It has been damaged or there may be borers or something else attacking it. Try & investigate the damage & either protect the tree (if it is from a mower for eg. put a guard or mulch around it) or treat the pest.

  6. I have a peach tree and this happens as well.  I believe it's just the juice/sugars and they harden in the sun.  I usually see them the most around where a japanese beetle or something had bitten it.  It's no biggie.

Edit:  I'm taking about the peaches themselves though.  I have not seen anything clear coming out of my tree.

  7. Sap

  8. If you are talking about the trunk or branches of the tree; it's the tree's  blood - sap or pitch.   There is an injury there thru the bark(whether it be man made, or made by a bug (called a peach tree borer)   If it is a little hole being filled in again, you need to get your tree treated for the bug (for it will kill the tree and spread) and the tree is trying to close it up so it does not lose moisture.

The clear crystals on the peach tops themselves(rarely I have seen them) if they were sugar, the rains would wash them away, so again I would consider it to be tree sap dripping down onto the peaches, making them unsaleable.  You never see them in the grocery store as it is a blemish or imperfection.
