I have a pending court case would it show up onmy australian police check, please help me withthis wuestion.ta

i have applied for a visa to australia, immigation have asked me for australian police check, when i left australia i was interviewed by the police but now im afraid it will all show up on my police check certificate. i happened to know there is no warrents/summons issued against my name. thats good .so what will my police check certificate shows actually. i would be thankful to all of you if u give me the answer of this question plz. ta

  1. If you ain't did nothing...what you stressin for??? let em check..you ain't got no skeletons in your closet. do you? or did a bone just drop out your mouth?


  2. If there is no proceeding before a Court it should not affect your Police Clearance Certificate.

    The Certificate shows the cases that have been dealt with in a Court with a finding of guilt (either by plea or following a trial)

    It does not show matters that were dismissed, or had a nolle prosequi entered, or where the person was found 'not guilty'

    If there is an outstanding proceeding, then they will not issue a Certificate until it is finalised.

  3. For Australia, i think it depends on how thorough your check needs to be.

    I know that for a simple "National Police Check" they generally check for crimes that are serious. That is, things like rape, murder, arson, assault, etc.

    In terms of pending court case, provided your name is registered into the police database, it may show up, but depending on what the case is for (see above) it might not. With this - i can't be certain, but i know things like driving offences, etc. definitely do not count. So - it depends on what you're being called for.
