I have a pet cockatiel and i was wondering how it gets its energy ?

like wind energy ... using wind to create energy how does a cocketiel create its energy ? does it eat ? is it the sun ? PLEAASE HELP !

  1. It metabolizes bird seed.


  2. It eats its food. Then its body metabolizes the food. Then it outputs its energy into all its bodily functions.  

  3. Just like you and me it eats food and burns calories to create energy.  But yes sun light is good for your bird as well there are essential vitamins in sun light.
