I have a pioneer DVD/CD

I have a pioneer DVD/CD receiver XV-DV303 and I played deck music through the system. However, I think it over heated and shorted, as the sound cut completely and I have not been abkle to turn it on for 2 weeks. All that seems to be working is the green timer light which flashes non-stop. Any ideas?
