I have a pioneer plasma, pioneer elite receiver &rogers digital box, but no sound... help?

sorry, also using 2 hdmi cables - one from rogers box to receiver, other from tv to receiver.

Well, I'll assume you are missing sound on the RECIEVER....

If this is a NEW setup, I have found the Audio settings on the Rogers box to be set for RAW and Not PCM audio....that can kill sound...it must be PCM.

I doubt your cable can just break the Audio + and - lines only....but since you have 2 HDMI, try swapping cables....

The other obvious stuff to try is the speaker ON/OFF...the proper video inputs are active....That you are in dolby surround mode....

Other than that, does the relays click on in your reciever? Can you get AM/FM radio? That would at least verify if the Amp is OK and hasn't blown an output....

Moved the speakers recently? They may have a short on one of the wire ends....
