Question:

I have a pioneer stereo, deh-1430R, i cant get the wiring right for the stereo to work?

trying to wire it into a 1997 seat ibiza, different stereo installed previously and wires were cut to suit. i tried matching up the wires with their matching colours but not working. if anyone has a wiring diagram or any info i would appreciate the help!

  1. DONT match some ones elses wiring colours...use a multi meter to find permanant live[for radio memory]..then find switched live[live when ign switched on]...earth is easy...fire up radio the set ballance fade to front left,then find the matching speaker wire....


  2. Alright first off, definitely use a multimeter and check the wires to find a 12v constant, and a 12v switched...  ground is easy...  As for the speakers, go to www.the12volt.com

    They usually have a pretty accurate database of wire colors that match back up to the factory anyways.  If you still can't get power, check all your fuses in the car and under the hood.  Chances are if the wires were cut, a fuse is blown.
