I have a plaster board ceiling and I want to fill 4 holes 7x 7 inch wide, I can then get my ceiling skimmed

Can I fix plaster board in hole, some how, as have not got any beams to fix to

  1. You can cut some sheetrock the same size as the hole and s***w it to a wood strip that overlaps the existing ceiling. Once in place, you can fill with joint compound. You put screws through the patch into the wood strip and screws through the existing ceiling into the ends of the wood strips.


  2. Normaly i would remove the board with the hole in if its that big and replace that 1 board. How big is the kitchen? If its not that big just rip the lot down and get it all done. It always looks a better finish when its replastered
