what is it hooked to ????

what cables are you using???

if you are hooking it to cable box it will hook up with the pre out cables{red white yellow}

or s-video  (red and white for sound)

or a hdmi cable

call polaroid they have a lot of problems I work for a tv repair company and we fix them, polaroid sends the part and we install them if they send the proper part
