Question:

I have a pool cue hand made by bert schrager it has never been used and bought by my father in 2002.?

received it as a gift after his death...people tell me it has some value in it, can someone let me know if the cue has value?

specs:

hard rock maple shaft

ebony forearm and butt

2 shafts 13mm & 12.75 mm

ivory joint & butt cap genuine

4 inlayas and butt are in ivory ( bert signature and my name are inscribed)

  2. that could be a real top notch cue ........as for value it is only worth what someone is willing to pay ......I would start in the 300.00 range ......but I havent seen the cue

  3. djkx1 made a good suggestion about placing a picture on azbilliards.com. You can also try ebay and let the collectors price it for you. Know that if it is worth something, what you see maybe a lowball bid. You can also try to find the "Blue Book of Cue Values" and compare. They have a section on Schraeger.

  4. There is no doubt it has value. Depending on the cue condition, and the complexity of design it could be worth a few thousand, possibly more. I would suggest taking photos and going to the "Cue Gallery" forum section of AZBilliards.com. There are plenty of collectors that would give you a better idea.
