I have a pregnant rat and i have some questions?

she hasn't had her baby's yet i was wondering if there was any way to tell if she is going to have them soon

you know its soon when she looks like shes swallowed a tennis ball! mine looked really funny also shell build a nest get narky with been held. And get dominant with her cage mate (if she hasnt got one she really should) good luck with the babys mine had 12!! but they were so cute

she needs to get much healthy food in order to have healthy babies and her to have an easier time giving birth. i dont know how to tell wen its gonna come out but when they do, make sure the cage is cleaned recently when they are born. so they wont touch alot a bacteria that will affect their birth growth or health. leave them alone for the mother to do the job. dont bother to use your hands to pick off the sack or your skin oils will harm the babies. the mom will take care of that job.
