I have a pretty old mini-DV camera (JVC GR-DVL307) and recently got a firewire + port on my desktop?

The thing is I really want to upload my videos. So I usually use Windows Movie maker. When I selected "Capture from a Video device" or clicked "file" then "Capture video..." it wouldn't read my camera. Plz anyone know the problem or can really help me?

The camera needs to be in "Play" mode. Sometimes, the camcorder needs to be plugged in to a working power outlet, too.
