I have a problem at school?

At my school, we have books like a Science, Math, Reading, etc book and I had all my books, all of them.. on Monday. And we get out for the Summer on Friday, so we have to return all of our books or we will have to pay. I was going to bring my books on Monday, but the books were so heavy, so I took two books, my reading and language book, they are both small. I went to my first period class with the books, and I must have left them in there.. (I was busy trying to organize my desk and I wasn't thinking about the books), but the next day I came back(Today) and now the books are gone. Now I only have my Science, Math, and Social Studies books. I will have to pay for the Reading and Language book.. and I hear they are really expensive, one girl told me it was $100 for the Language book and $50 for the Reading book, then another person told me it was $50 for each book, either way I am so in trouble. My Summer will be ruined if I have to pay for these books. I need an answer..!

Chances are no one stole the books, they were handed in to a teacher in that department or stored away somewhere by the janitors or your first period teacher put them somewhere. Tell your reading and language teachers what happened and ask if there have been any books with your number (your books are categorized by numbers or something so teachers know who has what book, right?) turned in and if you can check any piles of books they might have to see if your books are there.

This sort of thing happens a lot and if you DO have to buy the books then ask if you can buy it online. Chances are you can get it a LOT cheaper from websites like Amazon, eBay, half.com, et cetera.

A girl in my class lost your English book (worth about $100) and wouldn't be able to get her cap and gown (we were seniors) unless they were turned in so she was very worried. However, she went and looked through ALL the books that the school had and found hers. Maybe the same will be for you. :)
