I have a problem between i and my dad?

i have a problem because when every time we see each other he was get easily mad at me.. in a simple things he was got mad at me.. I don't mind him nalang for the sake of my mother because i don't want an argument. Until yesterday he got scolded to me again because of a book it was on my locker only but it is not important thing.. and its mine he said to me that I'm tanga (idiot) so i can ignore it all i just to do is cry. then after a whole day he cant even say sorry to me or approach me.. then this is my question? if he's pride was high what should i do? i no longer approach him? please help me. I think i dont wanna see him anymore.. and im only 16 yrs old do i still love him?

Gladys, hi again. I cant quite understand your question as the english is a bit broken but it seems to me that you argue a lot with your dad and he says stuff without thinking, things that hurt your feelings.

Parents do this sorta stuff sometimes, many parents come from a different era to their kids and sometimes (to them) motivation comes in the form of shouting at their kids or telling them they are idiots. Believe me, you're not an idiot, I'm sure you know that.

Tell your dad that he hurt your feelings. That you simply forgot your book, (I am presuming you left it on your locker instead of bringing it home?). Chances are your dad didn't say anything to you because he felt bad bout what he said (its a man thing).

I think you need to have a honest and loving talk with your dad. Tell him that you are afraid to approach him in case he scolds you for small things.

If he shouts lower your voice (quieter) (not to a whisper but lower than usual) this automatically makes people speak quieter.

Dont get angry, just be honest about your feelings.

Pride is a man thing and yes he may want you to be better than you are, but as long as you can prove you're trying your best he can not ask any more of you.
