I have a problem converting video files and burning a DVD in Itunes

Question

I downloaded videos in avi format. I then downloaded prism a free video converter software and converted the formats into mpg. I burn my DVD's in itunes because if I download videos with mpg format I drag them into itunes and burn the DVD and they play on my DVD player. However when I converted the videos for avi to mpg I was unable to drag them into itunes. If anybody can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.

Standard DVD players read the .Vob format, the files you have now are in AVI format..

not all mpeg files can put on itunes then to ipod.the mpeg files are must in different encoding.i suggest you to download a professional tool to convert your avi files. i used to iSkysoft ipod movie converter,

also, if you want to play ur dvds on your ipod, you need a third party software to rip your dvds.
