  1. after you poison them... you still need to eliminate the source of food and water they were getting.... If you don't .. all their ants and uncles will show up for the funeral..........

  2. Mix grape jelly and boric acid. Put one tablespoon mix on wax paper wherever you are having the most problems with ants. Replace every 2-3 days until ants are gone. They should take the poison back to the nest and kill the others. (Make sure mix is out of reach of kids and pets)

  3. Ortho makes a great product called "Ant-B-Gon".  No matter what poison you use, you will have to allow around a week for it to work properly, as the ants need time to take the poison back home and share with all of their friends.  "maintenancemark" is right.  You can use all the poison in the world but if you don't eliminate their initial food source, you will be stuck with them forever.

  4. Grants Ant stakes.  There is Arsenic in it.  Poke the hole in it with a toothpick and a bit of warm water.  Put it where the ants are.  They take it back to their nest and it kills  them.  You can put glue traps in their paths also.  That way you can get a visual count  of the pests.  Spray them with lysol.  It kills them but only the ones that are present.  Good luck.

  5. Usually inside ants can be eliminated with Terro.  It's a liquid that you pour out a few drops and the ants will consume it and be gone.  It works wonders.  You can buy it at most hardware stores.

  6. The first answer will work. Boric acid or 20 mule team boraxs, which you can buy at harewares. A safer , non toxic method that I use is baking soda mixed with one teaspon of confectionary sugar. The sugar attacts them the soda if it touches them dehydrates them. They also take it back to their nest.
