Ok, I have this problem that has been going on for years now, whenever someone touches me on one side of my body, I have to touch the exact same spot with the exact same pressure on the other side of my body. So if someone shakes my hand or whatever I have to shake the other one etc. But I also really really focus on things such a blinking and breathing. I will think about blinking and then I have to think to blink. Or when I try to exercise I think about breathing and have to think to breathe and I will get winded because I can't properly breathe and then I have to say walk home from the jog. Then lets say I notice that my left shoe is tied slightly tighter than my right so I spend 10 min or so trying to fix that, doesn't work out so i walk home barefoot. Then say one of my toes cracks then I have to crack all of them, then my hands and now I am completely uneven on my hands and feet and its just like incredibly irritating. Anyone ever have anything like this?

  1. definitely ocd...obsessive compulsive disorder...my best friend has it...he's freaking brilliant but seemingly insignificant things bring his world to a halt...watch the tv show monk...same thing...i think it's awesome and i wouldn't be surprised if it's linked to Autism or Aspberger's syndrome...we need more OCDs in the world!!!

  2. google OCD

  3. Classic case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder  (OCD)  It is curable but you have to visit a specialist.

  4. So do I...

I also have to look at say I focus on something on my left, I have to turn and focus on it from my right...

I only have it mildly though, you might want to go to a doctor, a friend of mine was like that and she had OCD.

Anyway yeah I am like that too- it's annoying I know- even typing gets tricky!

Also you might want to find your "triggers" if you have any for it. For me it's when I

    1. think about it- so now alot!

    2. When I'm upset

    3. When I'm stressed.

So I try and distract myself when this happens

  5. yeah  but i didn't really have it this bad.  idk, but like if i touched a lamp with my right index finger i'd have to go back and touch it the same with my left.  i think i had blinking also.  idk it was a long time a go for me but i remember everything had to be even for me.  btw, if you have to feel like being even, don't, cuz what's the point?  your mind will think about something else and you'll feel better.

  6. You've got OCD .  you can be treated for it if it annoys you .
