I have a problem with my car door. I need assistance asap?

my car door wont close. i have had problems with it once before, it just pops back open. The problem it is 1 am here and i dont have aaa so i need assistance so my battery wont die. my battery is stuck so i cant undo it. i need to be somewhere asap i really need help on how to fix it myself. it is a 95 plymouth voyager. can someone please help me fast?

with the door open, take a s***w driver and pry against the latch on the door. there is a metal tang that snaps down when the door is closed to hold the door shut. Your latch has dropped into the shut position with the door open. hold the door handle in the open position...like you are normally opening the door, and pry the latch back to the open position while holding the handle in the open position. The latch should snap back into the correct position. It might take a few tries but it will correct itself with a little persuasion
