it could be prob because they dont get enough power as they would need, like if i were to turn the gain up they just dont do anything...

OK heres the question Since i have a lease upgrading battery/ alternator will not happen...

I need to buy a capacitor probably but i have no clue what kind of farad i need...

  1. the problem can come from many different sources.

1.you might have to replace your battery

2.you may have improperly grounded the amp

3.purchase Capacitor that is no more than 1.0 farad because thats the nominal for a 1000watt amp. Install the Cap, instructions should be included.

4.if your RCA cables and power cables run up the same side of the car most likely there's a interference problem between them, check that.

5.also check you fuse box by ur battery you may need to replace that with a new one as well and also if you dont have a proper battery terminal you could be have problems there.

  2. A power capacitor is not a magical power source, it doesn't create any power. It is an extra resistor on your electrical system that will stress it even more. Your lights shouldn't be dimming with only 600 watts RMS on it, i have 1150 watts RMS in my car and it is just perfect and i dont have a new battery, a HO Alternator, or a power cap, no dimming at all. If you are able to, wire your subs down more, if you have the D4 ohm then wire each to 1 ohm and your amp will be running at 2 ohm.
