I have a problem with my laptop?

well facts are my laptop is about 5 years old never droped it nothing like that. The reall problem is when i turn on my laptop i cant see anything well i can see a little but not enough to really use it its like i turn it on and the screen black does anyone know how to sort it out. is their a solution

please help!!

there is a solution...the bulb has blown..link below show one

cant recall there correct name but its basically a long bulb.
