I have a problem with my nokia n95!! please help!?

i'm trying to get rid of the shortcuts and icons from the middle of the display on my nokia n95. i have done it before with another phone but can't remember the process. please help!! it's really annoying....

It called active standby screen. To turn it off, go to menu>tools>settings>general>personalisat... mode. Select the active standby and turn it off.
