I have a ps2 and a wii, should i buy nhl 09 or nhl 2k9?

NHL 09, 2K hockey has been extreamly weak lately.

2K9 for wii is gooing to be extramly similar to the other consols only using the buttons plus the only new feature is simpler controls

Get 09 it will be the best sports game of the decade no matter what system

im not sure they make 09 for ps2 possobly buy a xbox 360 or ps3 cause wiis graphics are terrible the wii is fun though its a good party system not really a hard core gamers system like 360 or ps3

In all seriousness I think that NHL 09 is gonna be amazing. However, I have a 360 and am looking forward to the (Be-A-Pro Mode) EASHL on XBL. I played 2k8 and it was a disaster (as the developers admitted when they talked about completely redoing 2k9 from scratch). The fact that 2k still has the speed boost button is a joke and completely unrealistic. I much prefered 2k6 to NHL 06, but since then it's been EA all the way.

Not to mention that NHL 09 is gonna have the new defensive skill stick to allow 360 degree controls to make poke-checking and blocking the lanes more realistically.

I expect everyone to have their preference for which series to buy, personally NHL 09 is going to be mine (already reserved), but if you enjoy 2k9 then to each his own.

I'm a big 2k fan, but 2k8 was literally almost exactly the same as 2k7 so i lost some faith in them and will buy NHL09 when it comes out and get 2k9 down the road.  Both series have been good, but the NHL 00-07 series has had the edge with better graphics and all around quality the only reason i keep going back to 2k is cause i like the controller layout.

IF YOU WNAT TO PUT YOURSELF IN CONTROL OF THE PLAYER GET NHL09, IF YOU WANT TO JUST PLAY WITH THE CONTROLS NOT CONTROL YOUR SKATER GET 2K9, THE DRIFFERENCE IS YOU CAN AIM YOUR SHOTS AND DEAK THE WAY YOU WANT IN 09 IN 2K9 IT  IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT.
