  1. You need a 4.1 synthesizer circuit to produce the five channels of sound from two-channel stereo sources, and you need three output jacks (two stereo and one for the sub) that don't interact.  (On most PC's, plugging a speaker set into the front jack turns off the rear jack.)

  2. because your sound drivers do not support 4 speakers.

  3. check your pc sound settings,  is it a '2.1' amplifier, if not, its only stereo and you wont get the full spectrum..

    check your wiring too...

  4. I don't know what your operating system is but it needs to be configured.  I'll explain for Vista, and XP would be similar.

Open Control panel - find Sounds - click on Playback - When playback is open right click and you will find a screen which say Configure Speakers.  From there on the selection is up to you.  All the best.

  5. you'll only get sound from all the speakers if the media (music, dvd or whatever) was recorded in surround sound. have you got a 4.1 soundcard? your speakers are never going to work properly with a standard sound card.

  6. the rear speakers are being blockes by the ones in front!

  7. Your drive doesnt support suurround sound
