I have a quesiton about visiting a certain website.?

Is there anyway possible that if I went to a certain website for example classmates.com and I looked up a person but I did not put any of my info I just looked up the persons name...that's it. Is there anyway possible that they could know that I looked up their name online.

None whatsoever, in realistic terms.

For that either

A) your friend would have to have a keylogger installed on your computer or

B) The site owner would have to be monitoring all searches, and would have to tell your friend in person.

If the site has professional programmers, they may be able to find your computer through IP or if you have the cookie from the site on your computer.
