I have a question, but it isn't getting posted in the sections, so here it is below

Question

Why might the serbs have killed Jill Dando? If it is them, why Jill Dando? If they're going for someone in the news corporation, why not Trevor MacDonald, or (better still) a politician?

For goodness sake - now that the main suspect has been released, up crop all the conspiracy theories.

If every single presenter linked with reading a script about a dubious subject was abject to being killed on that premise, then there would not be a lot of presenters left would there!

The kinds of people who are smart enough to kill someone in broad daylight and not been seen by anyone are smart enough to recognise that the person(s) behind any documentaries are not always (usually) the ones in front doing the presenting

Personally I would not "prefer" that anyone was taken down as you put it.

My only feeling is sorrow for Jill's friends and family that this is all now being brought up again and all sad memories and publicity are at the forefront once again for them instead of resting in peace with her

I hope (yet doubt) that the perpetrator will be found in any hurry. So I hope that the media storm dies down, the police can be left to do their job, the family to have some peace again, and daft conspiracy stories can stop being re-hashed

It sounds like you are advocating killing people - which is unacceptable!

I think Jill may have reported on a documentary regarding the Serbs. Whether her reporting angered them or was not true according to them, who will ever know?  They would have had their own warped reasons for killing her..

Luckily for Barry George he had someone who believed and defended his freedom..

I wondered why the media went on about that been the case at the time. I suppose they thought it would sell more papers really that is all. Lots of people do hate the Serbs at the time, the serbs were the boogeymen of the time after all. most likely if it happened today they would come with the headline. "Al Qaeda kill Dando" to sell papers and that is all they think of.
