I have a question? Feed The Children?

Question

I wanna help. When I think abt all the other children in the world. I see myself as luckie kid. I actually have 3 meals a day, and roof over my head. Whereas they, have no idea where their next meal is coming from. &i have been on the website but unfortunatly i dont have that much money...idk if there is a local charity or something but i definitly wanna earn a lot of money to bring food for those children. me and my friends have always been this way...but the questions is: HOW?

First of all, good for you for having a HUGE heart in wanting to help those children in need! I dont know how old you are but the way you wrote the question I would assume you yourself are a child or teen yourself. If I am wrong I apologize. If you are young and not making enough money to donate, check with a local church or charitable organization in your city or town. Even the smallest amount of money can help. In some very poor Countries 1 dollar is worth much more to them then it is to us so if you and your freinds feel they want to contribute get ahold of someone in your town either at a chruch, hospital, local charitable servuice like salvation army and let them know your idea and im sur ethey can point you in the right direction.

Do some research before donating to charities.  For someone with little money who wants to help out, try to find ways you can volunteer.  Volunteers are often needed as much as monetary donations.  I am not going to list specifics, but a charity that sends you a picture of a child you are supposedly helping tends to send the same pictures to different families.  My aunt paid for a child that she was given a photo and description of for years only to find out that over 15 years later that same photo and description was still being distributed to other families as a young child.  Don't let this stop you from donating, just be aware that not all charities have the best interests of the needy in mind.  By volunteering you can be sure you are making a difference because you see it first hand.
