I found a dark orange fluffy caterpillar near my house on a pile of stones. Could someone tell me what kind of caterpillar this is? and what I can do to raise it into a butterfly?

  1. it will turn when ready on its own monarch

  2. First you have to identify what it is. It might be a tussock moth or a woolly bear. Where you live is a big clue in identifying it because many moths and butterflies are only found in certain regions.

When you have found out that you'll be able to research what sort of food it eats andwhat are its habits.

A woolly bear will want to be left alone in a cold place in the winter, given food in the spring and a place to pupate.

  3. look up Acraea moth and see if that is close to your guy
