Since the Eastland Disaster, how have boating regulations changed?

During the year of the Eastland Disaster, boating inspections were not neccessary which is part of the reason the boat tipped to its side so have boating regulations (such as passenger capacity, safety equipment, ship material, etc) changed since then? were they changed because of the incident?

  1. Yes this incident changed a lot of laws with respect to regulations regarding many maritime laws. Mainly the number of people allowed on a ship depending on size. The stability of the ship was also brought into question.
