  1. Top speed's about 70mph

About 40 mpg.  Oh, and they need premium gas.

That's the kicker.  You can't.  There's like a year wait for them.  Go buy a Yaris or a Fit.

  2. Not very fast and not very good gas mileage as you'd think for how small they are.  A VW Diesel gets like 60 mpg in a car that looks normal.

Smarts are cool though (I assume you're talking about the ForTwo).

  3. 0-60mph in 12.73 seconds.

    Top speed around 90mph.

71HP. 3 cylinder Mercedes built engine.

It only gets up to 41mpg highway, which is only 1-3mpg better than the bigger, faster, more reliable Honda Civic, Honda Fit, Toyota Yaris, Nissan Versa, Pontiac G5, Chevy Cobalt.

The car is called the Smart Fortwo and it is sold at Smart and Mercedes dealerships.

It is not reliable and it is expensive to maintain.

They were very easy to find 5 months ago when no one knew about them.

But now there is a 10-11 month waiting list.

The Smart Fortwo came out in 1998 in Europe. So the new Smart Fortwo is actually a 10 year old design.

    Mercedes Benz owns Smart.

    Smart makes 3 models.

Smart Fortwo-2 seater and only Smart sold in America.

Smart Forfour-4 seater and not sold in America yet.

Smart Roadster-2 seater light weight sports car not sold in America.

  4. go onto the smart car website and search for dealers.  if i remember correctly, they can reach about 80 mph but they're probably not easy to control at that speed.  considering the amount of power they have, their MPG isn't all that spectacular.  the only thing nice abou them is that they're easy to park, they're inexpensive, and they get people's attention.
