would it be worth it for me to get an amp for my speakers even if mu wiring harness isnt in the best of shape for my car? I guess it is a little loose in the back of my receiver. My receiver has 200 watts available and my speaker has 650rms i think. I do not know what any of this is, soo would i need an amp to help power my speakers? I want great bass in my car so i think an amp would be a good choice but i do not know which would be the best to get. My receiver is a JVC KD-LH1100 and the amp would be powering 4 Kicker KS650 speakers. Please guys, answer my question, i have no idea what this means so please reccommend me the best (cheapest) amp i would need for my setup. Supply links if possible.

  1. i have a Pioneer Deh-1900mp that i will run with Kicker Ks that i plan to buy....u should just get an amp if u are gonna get subs because those Kickers Ks Thump hard even when connected to just a Head Unit Kicker ks speakers RULE!

Crutchfield.com is a very good place to research and buy items from

yeah then i would say go with a amp if you dont want a Sub. if u get a strong enough amp you can get those kickers to really THUMP hard....a aunt of mines had those with a amp and they made her 03 Interpred VIBRATE!

  2. First off those speakers are 65w RMS. Your head unit puts out 20w rms to each speaker. RMS is the actual wattage, ignore the peak watts. It's giving each speaker 20w of power and the speakers are 65w RMS. So a  4 channel amp that puts out 65 watts per channel (65x4 rms) would be perfect. So shop for a 4 channel amp that gives 65x4 rms. A 2 channel amp would work just make sure that it matches the 65w per speaker, for a 2 channel amp you would need 130x2 rms.
