I have a question about an ebayer...?

Not sure what catergory this goes under...but here's my question. I won a bid on Ebay on a lot of baby clothing (Actually i was the only won who bid right before it ended). I sent out the payment(money order) which the seller said she was fine with, along with several other money orders all the same day which was on July26th. I have received all the other packages except this one. I emailed the seller 3 days ago and asked if she had received the payment and if the package has been shipped yet and still haven't received a response. Should I wait a little bit longer? What do I do if the seller doesn't respond or if I never get the package?

  1. If they were a private seller, they could be on holiday.  I would give it at least a week before you make your next move.

  2. I'm a big believer is people responding to an e-mail ASAP. It only takes a few seconds, and it's hardly a hassle. I would definitely send out another e-mail, and it you have not gotten a response by Monday, then contact Ebay.

I went through this a few years ago with an Ebay member who never responded to any e-mails for two weeks straight, but magically after I filled a complaint with Ebay, then he wanted to make contact.

In the future I would also recommend that you pay for auctions with a quality credit card like Amex, that way if you have any issues you can just dispute the charge and get your money back.

  3. I suggest you check the seller's feedback carefully and note how long s/he has been selling on Ebay.  If the record is very good, I'd wait, before contacting Ebay -- the seller might have a family emergency.

Also, if you are emailing from Outlook, you can request a "delivered and (or) "read" receipt with your next email.
