okay, i noticed on movies they always get shots of the subject from different angles while maintaining the same clip of audio, say someone is talking and the camera has them at one angle, they continue talking but the camera cuts to say a side view and the audio is still going, now if i use my mini dv camcorder and movie from angle to angle the audio will be chopped up with the video, how can i fix this and keep one continuous strip of audio?

  1. you need to record with an Auxiliary device.

Movies are usually recorded with sound separate since they don't really make audio film anymore.  They record usually with a DAT recorder and lavalier mics if they can be hidden or else a cardioid shotgun microphone.

You'd need to get a shotgun mic and a boom pole and a good windscreen.  That way you can plug into your camera and have more or less consistent audio.
