  1. Please check this website out.....www.bcsalliance.com......this site gives great info on debts, credit and bk....Best advise, contact a local qualified attorney to consult with about what you qualify for in bankruptcy, a chapter 7 or chapter 13. The new bankruptcy laws are alot different than what they used to be. You have to include all your debt, there is no more pick and chose what you file. Credit Card accounts will be closed. You will have to take a credit counseling course before and after you file. A good attorney will tell from your income, debts and assets what you will qualify for and what kind of debts you can re-affrim on and what you need to do. Most attorney's will see you on a first free consultation, or first free hour consult.

    Good Luck!

  2. if you consult a lawyer he will tell you that u have to file on everything. including personal loans from your grandmother. its best to file it but just re-a-firm the debt.

  3. You can try to negotiate a few things, but you will have to make a case for it and you had better make sure you can pay it back, otherwise, you will be stuck and can't file for bankruptcy again.

  4. I'm not sure what the h**l BDancer is talking about. I know many people who have declared bankruptcy and their cell phone was never effected.

  5. If you file, your credit card companies will close your account.  Also, your cell phone account will be immediately closed.
