I have a question about college applications?

If I hated my SAT score, and I love my ACT score, should I only submit my ACT score, and not send in my SAT II Subject tests which I did well on? I am asking this, because the colleges will see my SAT score if I send my SAT II subject tests, which I did well on.

FYI, the schools I am applying for do not require the SAT II tests, so that is my dilemna.

  1. it really depends on how hard it is to get in to the college that you are applying. if it's a rather tough school, than i would say go ahead and just send the act. if you're applying to a school that you feel pretty confident about getting accepted in to, just send them both.

  2. if the schools dont require SATII subject tests, then there is no reason to submit your SAT scores.  Just don't do it!  EVERY school in the country takes either one, so only send a score for the one you are better at!

  3. sure you can.

  4. If you look on collegeboard.com, they have the average SAT and ACT scores for accepted applicants at most colleges - if your scores are within this range, you might as well submit them both.  SAT II scores are really helpful if you're going into a specialized program like engineering, so if that's the case, you're better off submitting all of the scores regardless of the that college's averages.

Also, I know with my school, certain SAT II scores exempted you from entry level classes, even though they weren't required.  You might want to check that out as well.
