I have a question about college tuition?????

I am still in high school and I'm looking at colleges. I am wanting to go to an out of state college and I was just looking at tuitions and out of state is a lot more than in state if I were to move to the state of the college would I be charged the in state or the out of state college when I wanted to go to college.

  1. To get the best answer, you need to call the university to ask what their state residency requirements are. Sometimes, you can become a state resident after one year. Other times, if you are a full time student, it will take up to three years living in that state to become a resident.

  2. You would be charged out of state tuition if you go to a college out of your state.  You would continue to pay out of state tuition at that school for the entire duration of your college career there.

    unless you or your parents have cash laying around the house, attend an in state school.

    i believe when i applied for univs., it asked for prove of residence, including my parent's information (including, driver licenses, band accounts, paid tax , etc)
