I have a question about contacts lenses?

How long does it take to get contacts after an eye appointment?

...or do they already have some ready?

i really want to get them before school starts next week!

Most places have them in stock.  I take my prescription to Costco and save a bundle!  I just tell them how many boxes I want - they have them right there!

You will always get a trial pair from your appointment, though.

If you've been to the optometrist before, you will most likely at LEAST get a trial pair of lenses. Then you can order more in bulk from them later. It'll all work out fine. They have 'em all there.

After your eye exam, if you have a common prescription many places will have your contacts in stock and you will get them immediately.  If your prescription is not a simple one, you may have to wait. Or once you have your prescription you can get it filled at another location that may have your lenses in stock.

depends on your prescription. They have some in stock usually, but if you have astigmatism or an odd shaped eyeball or something (like me) then they will probably have to order them, Mine take about a week and a half to come in.
