ok first about the fish. I wanted to know what type of fish dora is from the movie finding nemo. Also what type of fish can live together. i was thinking either to purchase fish or a hamster. I like clown fish and was wondering what type of fish can be put in a tank with clown fish or if any can.

Now onto the hamster. I was thinking about getting another hamster since the one i had died in the summer of 07. I really miss my hamster , it was so cut. it was a white male that had some brown shades on it but you could barely notice the brown unless you were holding it up close. Im not sure which i should pick. I love both Hamsters and Fish

  1. To answer your first question, Dory from Finding Nemo is a Blue Tang Fish.

There are several restrictions when housing fish together, although clownfish ARE compatible with most other fish, "They should not be housed with groupers, sharks, lionfish, moray eels or rays and there can be a problem if housed with triggerfish and certain wrasses."*

The thing with both of those species of fish is that they are indeed salt water fish. You would need to make sure to have a decent sized saltwater tank ready to go ahead of time. It can be costly and take about a week of setting up and letting your aquarium run. Fish take a lot of prep work, but once you have them they are great pets with easy maintenance.

I would recommend getting a hamster, because you mentioned having one before. They are obviously more lovable than fish. It all depends i guess. I've had many hamsters in the past that were all great. and I very recently got some fish that are just as awesome. Fish just take a little more patience.

  2. i'd choose the hamster, you already know what you've got to expect with cleaning etc, and it'll be less hassle and more fun, its difficulty to cuddle and become good friends with fish :)

  3. if i were you i would pick the hamster

i have both and i find it a real pain to clean the fish tank

saltwater fish tanks are even worse (which is the type of fish you were looking at)

i liked the hamster more because they were more interactive

    good luck!
