I have always wondered how adrenaline works, I remember I was standing with a friend of mine, his friend who hated me tried to take a punch at me, I dodged it moving my head (it felt like matrix) grabbing his neck, slamming him into the dirt on the baseball diamond and made him eat it, I don't know how it happened, its like my reflexes took control and just was moving my face after he tried to punch me. Please give me information on this, I'm 13 by the way.

  1. This is an example of an animal instinct that humans have in response to stressful situations.  You may have heard of "fight or flight."

Basically what happens is when you are in danger (e.g. a fight) your body goes into "attack mode" and adrenaline is released into the bloodstream along with other hormones causing the blood pressure to go up, your heart to beat faster, and you will breathe faster.

This is a potentially life-saving response of the human body. People have been known to have such a big adrenaline rush that they are able to lift a car off someone trapped underneath.

I hope this helps! --Jeff M
