I have a question about how to have a successful staff& office, we are a real estate firm ..?

I need advice, what will generate our business to grow .. I have in mind to discuss time management, our advertising, and how to sell our products ..but I still need ideas pls help ??? ... My staff doesnt seem motivated anymore ..pls answer

  1. Guessing this is real estate, being careful who you hire will help.   Many offices hire losers and this brings it down for everyone.   If you are going to hire anyone then you should charge a hefty desk fee, keeping the losers at bay.

    Teaching networking skills is a plus, our society seems to be loosing that, with so many of us online, locked into our own homes.

I was in charge of fun stuff in the office, keeping up moral.  Pot lucks, lunch brought in, bingo (black out for movie tickets).  There are several free make your own bingo cards websites.  Go to www.orientaltrading.com for cheap and fun gifts.  We passed out rubber ducks for every holiday one year, if there wasn't a holiday that month, we made one up.

  4. .    YOu need someone, maybe you, to go out and get 5 listings in the next week.  Something that will show the others that hard work will pay off in more business.  Otherwise, all the rest is just "words" to get them motivated.  

    You will find that your staff will ebb and flow in the "motivation" department.  That is part of life.  You can not keep everyone at top speed at all times.

  5. It sounds like your office moral is low. Have you tried running contests that would have a prize for the winner? EX: My bank Manager runs contests to see who can get the most checking accounts, credit cards, loans etc. The one who gets the most wins say a $5.-10.00 gas card, or gift card. She has also put stars on her window and whenever we've opened an account, we get one, or for every 2 credit cards you get a star & on the back is a prize which only she knows & its written down. (She uses time off with pay, like an hour) & she has used what she calls "cruise or snooze" which if won, allows the winner to snooze an hour or 2 longer or cruise out an hour or 2 earlier with pay.

    I know housing is in a slump right now, but maybe you can think of ways to jump start the moral and encourage your staff. I do know that working as a team helps & encouraging your staff helps allot

    As far as growth I would suggest flyer's If your current advertising hasn't generated the growth you need then you most definitely need    to rethink that.

  6. Offer your staff incentives and rewards for any new clients that they bring to the firm (bonus $$ or movie tickets works well).
