Hmm... the only game I know that sounds similar to that is one where you have six movable circles on the table, set in a triangle like this (the numbers 1-6 are the circles; the zeroes are just there to help show the shape of the triangle):

The game, like you said, is to move just 2 of the circles to flip the triangle upside-down.  The answer is that you move circles 4 and 6 as follows:
