okay im 3month's pregnant and needed insurance to go to the doctors office and get the proper care that i need. i was going to go down to the werfare office and apply for medicade or caresource, but the only issue i have with that is my mother says when i go down there, that before they can process me for any insurance, they will need proof that i am pregnant, but see that's why im going up there, hopefully somebody can see where im getting at?

so my main question is when i go up to the office, will they need a doctors request stating that i am pregnant? and i live in columbus ohio and was wondering if anybody knew what the werfare office number was?

  1. Here is a link for the application:

    http://jfs.ohio.gov/ohp/consumers/family...

You will need to have a verification of pregnancy from a doctor before your application can be processed so just tell your doctor that and when you are approved, they will bill medicaid. (They do this all the time!)

  2. You don't have to be pregnant to get welfare. You can qualify if you have low income and little assets. If you are pregnant you can qualify with a higher income.

Enter "Ohio Medicaid" into your favorite search engine to find the office and number nearest you. The website will probably also have the requirement you must meet to get assistance.
