I have a question about my Blackberry Curve...?

Well this morning when I recieved a text message, usually where the signal strength bars are it says edge, but lately its been saying gprs or something or gms or sometimes both...what does this mean??

it shows what kind of connection you have , if it says EDGE in caps and bold you have a strong connection,if it says edge in lowercase non-bold it means you have fairly good connection , if it says gprs or gms it means you have a connection that isnt as fast as edge , your probably just not getting a good signal,if its just in that area its normal but if you try using it in another area and it still doesnt work contact your service provider.

GPRS/EDGE is a type of network coverage. GPRS is slower than EDGE. If the letters are small case, that usually indicates a problem with the data connection. They may be working on a cell tower in your area.

Try turning off the radio (there is an icon for this) or removing the battery for a minute.
