  1. take 36 months

  2. You might want to try to seek an Infopass appointment so you would be able to get an appointment and talk to somebody about your case at a USCIS office nearest you. The Infopass procedure is in the USCIS website. Seeking the help of your congressman will also help speed up your case.

  3. Have you moved at all since you've filed? Did you properly change your address with USCIS? If it's possible, the best bet would be to go in to your local USCIS office and talk to them in person. It may take a little time, but they should hopefully be able to find out what's going on and where your file is at.

  4. If they've never cashed your check, I'm afraid you need to file it again.

    Go to this website.

    www.immigrationportal.com

    Good luck.

  5. here is your way. Dani

go back to your country with your girl friend and marry her in your country. then go to the US consulate and have your now wife bring you into the US as your husband. you will be interviewed at the US  consulate in your country. You will swear that you are and never have been a member of the communist party and that you are not homosexual or do not do drugs or traffic in drugs.. you will have further background checks. if everyhing is ok and checks out. fly back to the states  with  your American wife. your green card will be waiting for you at the airport at arrival.

I am american and i married this foreign woman in her counrty and did the above. good luck

  6. you can try to check it's status online just register at uscis.gov and enter your application/receipt number and it will reflect the status of your application. good luck!
