  1. 1.Some rats are more tolerable with wearing clothing than others, and since yours is the cuddly type i bet it would like a snug knitted sweater

2.Don't take your rat for walks around the street corners take him to a park in stead with short grass if you want to ever find him again

    3. The average lifespan of a fancy rat is 2-3 years

  2. first i would not put clothes on a rat. not only is it humiliating for him, but it can also be very stressful for him if you force him into them. you would not want to do that to your precious rat. it is okay to take rats on walks with a leash, but make sure its secure or else your rat will run away. i would just try walking him around a safe room for a few weeks until hes used to the leash. also give him a treat whenever he sees the leash or hes using it so he associates the leash with a food reward. rats typically live between 2-3 years. and all pet rats are fancy rats derived from the norway rat. it is not techinically a species because it is a domesticated version of the large norway rat.

  3. yes you can put cloth on him i can't say they will like it, but yes. No, i don't recommend walking him if you do want too though make sure the harnis is nicely on and walk him on the grass and a rat lives 2-3 years but a lot of my rats which two are fancy rats also lived to be 6 and 7

  4. Most rats are considered fancy rats.  There are different types of rats in that category however such as dumbo, rex, velveteen, hairless etc.

I would not recommend putting on clothing.  If you do decide to attempt this, make sure the clothing is not on his tail.  Rats cannot regulate their body temperature normally which is where their tail comes in.  Not only is it used for balance, but it is used to regulate body heat.

Leashes are difficult to use with rats.  Rats do not enjoy being in them and most leashes are not small enough for a rat and the rat will easily slip out of them.  Parks are not the best place to walk your rat.  Treated grass of any kind can kill your rat.  It is far safer to have your rat outside at your own home without the treated grass in a small enclosed area.

The lifespan of your rat will depend on where you got it from. Breeder rats tend to live longer than pet store rats or shelter rats.  Pet store rats tend to live 1-3 years with 3 being more of an elderly rat.  Breeder rats can live 2-4years and tend to be healthier than pet store rats.

Please get Pieare a friend.  Rats are social animals and should never be housed alone. If you believe that you can provide all the attention he needs, please read this: http://www.rmca.org/Resources/apair.txt  Here will tell you all you need to know as there is NO good reason what-so-ever to ever have a rat housed alone.  Make sure you get another rat of the same s*x as Pieare. As you changed from he to she and him to her throughout this question, I have no idea what s*x Pieare is.

  5. First of all, you did not do your research before getting this rat. YOU ARE ALWAYS SUPPOSE TO GET ATLEAST 2 RATS!!! There are very social animals and thrive for other rats. Unless you want him to die of depression, then just keep him. But if you really love him, youll go and get another rat.

Please do not humiliate him and put cloths on him. It look stupid and he would feel stupid. I do not take my rats out on a leash because they can EASILY slip out of it.

A rats lifespan is about 3-5 years. But like I said, if you dont get him a buddy then he wont make it pass 18 months.

  6. its not too safe walking them. the fumes from the ground can hurt them, and chemicals on the grasses could too.

i dotn see why you cant dress your rats. lol i tried to once with my one girl, delilah, but she pooped everywhere. she was scared.

be careful out side with your rat. i saw online, someone with their rat outside and an owl or big bird of some sort came and swooped it up.

just be carful please!! i dont want to hear of your little rattie hurt!!

  7. are u actually kidding on with tht question. if your goin to do tht with ur pet rat then god help him! i think u shuld just leave him the way nature intended him to be....
