I have a question about my power point...?

i am trying to get a power point on a cd to play on my dvd player at the house and when i burn it on a cd on my computer and then put it in the dvd player it says error. how do i do this correctly and not say error. i am using windows 2007 with an operating system vista thanks for answering all my questions.

Powerpoint presentations won't work on DVD's.  DVD players are not designed to read powerpoint files (.ppt files).  In order for you to play the presentation on a television screen, you can run a video cable from your computer to the television and play your presentation on the computer to be displayed on the television screen.  If you don't have a laptop and the television is too far away from your computer, you could try to borrow someone's laptop just for the presentation.  You can just transfer the file from your computer to the laptop in order for it to work on there (if the laptop has powerpoint on it).  You can just use a regular usb drive for this.  Best of luck!
