How does Paypal work? How do you get the money?

There are several ways, the most common is to link paypal to a bank account.  Then, if someone sends you money, after it clears you can transfer from that paypal account into your bank.

They also used to offer a debit card that could draw direct from paypal, not sure if they still do, haven't received cash in a while.

Finally, you can also send money stored in your paypal account to buy things.

Note that there are age limits for paypal accounts.  Not sure what they are offhand.

You sign up, giving your personal particulars, and link your Paypal acct with your bank acct. Your access ID is your email address. You can use your current email or you can create a new email just for Paypal purposes. When someone needs to pay you, they only need to know that email address. Once you check your Paypal acct and confirm that the money is in, you can choose to leave the money there to make purchases in future, or you can choose to withdraw the money via your bank acct. You also need to give them your credit card no. if you wish to make purchases thru your credit card.
