In the 1997 Labour landslide victory, what happened to the 246 Conservative MPs who lost their seats? Obviously they were no longer MPs and could not sit in Parliament, so what jobs did they get afterwards?

    I often wondered the same. I'm sending Slipshod 10 points for his answer above.

    Now I understand. I always thought they fought for elections to help and represent us but it seems they are so keen to lie to us and deceive us - so they can keep their cushy jobs and not have to sign on the dole.
