Are you supposed to get pains in your tummy when you are pregnant. They are not constant, but they happen every now and then. When you are 6 weeks pregnant. Also, a feeling of pressure in the lower part of my stomach, I have been constipated, so I don't know if that is what could be causing that or not. . . It is kind of worrying me. Thanks in advance!

  1. I had horrible cramps when i was in my first trimester.  Almost like period cramps.  That paired up with the constipation was awful.  I asked my Dr. about this and was told it was round ligament pains, which is basically your uterus growing, and if you are a first time mommy, it will scare the c**p outta you.  So long as it isnt accompanied by bright red heavy bleeding you will be okay.  In the mean time I would call his Dr's office and ask him if you can take some Tylenol to help with the pain.  DO NOT take asprin or ibuprofin, just tylenol, but like I said, check with the Dr's office first.  Good luck with everything!

  2. If it's up the sides of your belly, it could be round ligament pain, which is caused by the ligaments that support your enlarging uterus stretching.

I started experiencing round ligament pain VERY early...earlier than all the books said I should.

I experienced pain similar to menstrual cramps early in my pregnancy, and my doctor told me that was perfectly normal.

It easily could be the constipation, too. Good luck.

  3. Yeah the pains could be from being constipated. I had a little cramping as well.  Check with you doctor if you unsure.

    Good Luck

  4. probably just gas!

have you been to the doctor yet?
