If u were a filipino...and u checked ur ancestry is there ever a chance of a royal person linked to u?

I know it's quite impossible for a european royal person to have link to me...what about the royal family of some asian country. Actually, possible Spain since my mom has spanish blood and who knows....

  1. Why is it impossible Tim? Speaking for English royalty, the first born kept the title, the second was despatched to where the incumbent thought money could be made and the third was put in some religious role while the fourth stayed home and went into business. You just might have some European royalty in the family history

  2. Only if you had a Spanish background. Because the Philippines were invaded by Spain, which is where the basic royalty came from.

  3. it happened to me

  4. possibly , but i doubt it.

  5. according to my pa, by the way also a pinoy... there's a big ship where in some are royalties, then before they came on the coast, there's a leak on the ship... and they thought that they wouldn't have a chance to reach the coast, but amazingly they have, and the leak stop... how?

because an eel is encircling the hole, if you have a law in the family to avoid eating eel, there could possibly be one of those royalties to land here that is you're ancestor

  6. It's entirely possible that there may be a 'blood tie' to some royal family, either Asian or European.

In years gone by royal families, like everyone else, had lots of children, and those children themselves had lots of children.

As only one at a time could be king, the rest would probably become increasingly distant from royal circles, and over centuries the 'royal connection' would possibly be forgotten unless there was a reason to remember it.

In today's world, having a distant blood tie to royalty from anywhere would not be likely to benefit a person financially or even socially, but it is an interesting thing to find out about one's family history!

    Cheers :-)

  7. Possibly.... But I doubt it.

  8. The Spanish invaded the Phillipines.  Majority of Filipinos have Spanish last-names.  Anyway, I suppose that it is possible that a Filipino could be related to Spanish royalty, since the Spanish settlers married to native women.  Anything is possible.
