  1. I feed my three foot boas adult rats and the lump is visible for only a day or two. The people saying it takes up to a month to digest a meal have no idea what they are talking about, that is completely wrong. If the heat is too low, it will take longer to digest. Check your temperatures, and then switch it to rats. And continue to feed it weekly. If you have more questions, let me know, I breed boas. And as you can see, you will get alot of answers from people who shouldn't be answering questions.

  2. Snakes take a while to digest critters. Look at this guy:

It's gonna take him a month.

  3. normal..can take up to several weeks to digest food

  4. The bigger the meal the longer it takes to digest. Sometimes it takes a month, sometimes it takes three or a week. She should be fine. Make sure she isn't too cold to digest but other then that it's okay.

P.S. Wait until it poops. That is how you know that it is time to feed. Once it goes feed it, until then leave it be.

  5. hmm...i don't usually tell people to run to the vet with reptile stuff but this might be a case where you should take your snake to the vet.  a 3 foot RTB shouldn't have any kind of a lump with a small mouse and 3 hopper mice.  the meal wouldn't clump up all together (unless possibly it is impacted) i mean if you feed a smallish kingsnake 2 hoppers you will see 2 little lumps in the snake, not one big one.  a 3 foot RTB should be too thick for a small mouse or hopper mouse to make a lump.  yeah...vet he/she might have impaction.  if so and it's not real bad the vet can inject a mouse with something that will help things move along.

  6. A boa that size should be eating small to medium sized rats every other week. It will take a while for the lump to go away.

  7. I think you should wait until the snake digests because you might had been feeding him a bit much.I have a snake too,but its a florida king.
