I have a question about the Yankees !

What is wrong with the Yankees this year im watching the game right now and their not even trying I mean Derek Jeter is doing awful A-Rod all of his homeruns are ones that dont matter I mean look at their line up they should win 100 games every year I am a huge yankee fan and I am getting sick of them losing . Please answer if you are a yankee fan.

For me, this is a hard question to answer, because i dont think they are doing all that bad, considering that we are in the absolute most competetive division in baseball along with two other facts; 1-Girardi's first year at the helm;2-complete new team from the start of the year. O.K. , I'll give ya the gripper-Wang been out A LONG TIME!!!!! But we are still a very good contender for at least a wild card! Look for Nady to produce HUGE, along with Abreu. Too bad we are'nt getting production from some of our key players, though. Who knows the possibilities? GO YANKS!!!!!!

Yes, they have incredible talent.  Yes, on paper, it looks like they should blow other teams out of the water.  But the reality is, no one is perfect, and every team (and every player) struggles sometimes.  

The Yankees have occasionally found their rhythm this year, but it's apparent that they are not always clicking.  When one guy is "on," though, it's usually contagious.  Same goes for when someone is "off".  Injuries to key players have certainly not helped their morale or their performance this year, too.  

However, as a true Yankees fan, I have to point out that they are not so far back from the other teams in the AL East, and they could make a run for it in the coming weeks - despite their difficult schedule.  They aren't going to go down without a fight, that's for d**n sure.

Your also watching a bad pitcher pitch against the best team in the majors. And they are facing a pitcher who almost no hit the red sox. It's kinda hard to win when your pitcher is giving up base hit after base hit after base hit.

I also am a Yankees fan. The Yankees to get themselves together by having an "electrical spark". They need the motivation to get going. There pitching needs help and so does there outfield.

Are you REALLY a Yankees fan? How did you arrive at the conclusion that they're not trying based on ONE game? And where are they "losing" when they're 10 games over .500?

Dude, baseball is a funny game. You can't just fill out the lineup card and say "we're gonna win today." Very few teams have that ability. Not to mention the Angels are a very good squad.

In short, have patience. They're down now, but it's early. And they'll be in the pennant race through September. Things will work themselves out.

On paper they look like the second best team. The angels by far have the best team on paper. But its hurt the yanks ever since they started to get the old pitchers who used to be nasty back in the day. Mussina is having an amazing year that noone could have predicted. Pettite is solid, and joba is coming into his own. Its the fact that they cant get 5 solid starters. Although i think they can go far this year and win it all, next year they will be dominant, they will most likely sign mussina again, and if pettite comes back that will be good, but the fact that Hughes and Kennedy will be healthy that will make the rotation that much better, Rasner is just a fill in guy that goes out every fifth day.
